  • LIGNO Road Binder is water soluble at all concentrations. This feature facilitates removal from application equipment and clothing, for example. The principle use of LIGNO is to maintain unpaved roads and parking lots by controlling dust, stabilizing and sealing roads.

  • LIGNO FUNCTION: LIGNO Road Binder is an adhesive that bonds the soil particles together. While wood sugars and lignin polymer are both bonding agents, the wood sugars are also hygroscopic and attract moisture to the road surface. This gives a flexible coating with a decreased dusting tendency. This ability to attract moisture is very important when the lignin is “top shot” on the roadway.
  • The LIGNO Road Binder fraction is a bonding agent, but it is also a strong anionic surfactant. It bonds itself chemically to the clay minerals in soils and acts as a deflocculating or dispersing agent. This fills the voids and gives a higher density for the same moisture content. LIGNO Road Binder dust palliative is a state-of-the-art dust control. When applied to gravel roads it will penetrate and extend down binding the fines together making a durable road surface

  • LIGNO stabilizes roads making them water resistant and reducing mud and chuckholes.
